Spin

Nothing is here and nothing is there, So we see, yet still we care,

That everything's then and nothing is now and nothing is all they'll ever allow, till the day we awake and find all along that the nothing we felt was probably wrong.

The things that could matter swim in your eye and the everything born might answer your "why?!," till the day you awake and see it all clear, that mattering things aren't what they appear.

And so it all happens in drops like a tear, and though they fall lightly with potential to drown the trickle's the same for both killer and clown.

Continue your asking, the when and the why, you may never find out until ya die,

Everything changes and everything spins and nobody loses and nobody wins.

She’s a beautiful girl with lots of cash. Too bad about that deadly crash.

The wealthy guy’s a financial master, but ten years from now he’ll die of cancer.

Along the spectrum, across the range, the only truth’s perpetual change.

Here today and gone tomorrow, a life of joy and one of sorrow.

In the end it all changes and everything spins, and nobody loses and nobody wins.

Events all seem to collaborate to mock free will and mock your fate.

Everything changes and everything spins and nobody loses and nobody wins.

(Everyone knows that divorced unemployed straight white males dying of cancer…”have all the power”).
